I hear that you’re roasting beans over at West Gate. Is that right?
We are roasting at West Gate and really enjoying our new space. Dave Holley was really patient and accommodating in helping me pick just the right unit, Dave Weaver set up all of the roaster installation and Janet Tudor was super welcoming. I couldn’t ask for a better place to call our new home; there is a ton of natural light and plenty of room to grow as we work to expand our wholesale bean business.
How can people buy your coffee beans now?
You can buy our beans by emailing:
You mentioned classes in development. Tell more?
We are also venturing into wholesale, so contact us if you drink coffee in your office and would like us to come and give a free tasting.
It’s a big change moving the roaster out of our retail space. We need a little of that engagement at the Roastery; so we are working to set up workshops that are participatory and educate folks about coffee and how it winds up in our morning cups.
Timeline for opening the new Zocalo?
There is a dedicated crew working hard to restore Zocalo at 645 Bancroft. We have quite a bit of work to do, but I am hopeful we will be open in the next month. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on our progress.
